Kilty Punk
Why did I choose this theme?
The reason is that I'm interested in tradition, and the social
thinking of the country appears strongly in traditional
costumes. In modern society, gender inequality is regarded as a
problem, but I was very interested in Scotland, where men wore
skirts for a long time. I love fashion that I enjoy freely
regardless of gender. Apparent kilt don't seem to have anything
to do with gender issues, but wouldn't that be an excuse to men
to were skirts. I think it would be natural for men to wear
women's clothes,just like women's clothes. I think the world
will be more vivid, rich and crear if you love and do what you
want to express. It's a work with such a wish.
And studs,
which are also punk icons, are applied, and the skirts are
embroidered with powerful and rough embroidery from the
unconventional punk spirit.
Detail
The pockets and hem lines of the jacket were designed with
reference to the kilt jacket. I expressed the flowing curves of
the cape with the draped of the skirt. By extending the length,
it represente the spirit of a punk that isn't trapped in the
shoulder.
The tartan checks alse have a lot of meaning in
kilt jacket. They are like "family crests" in japan. Scots are
proud of tartans that differ from family line. Some tartans are
connected to specific areas and companies that have no direct
relationsship with family lineage.
In addition,there are
fashion tartans that are simply used as fashion. However, some
people have negative views on commercialist tartan.
And
the punk, which is another element, was triggered by young people
who were not familiar with any genres in rock to leave it to the
momentum. The idea of punk is that homosexuality is sexual
taboo. But what about nowadays? From the repulsion spirit of the
punk, isn't it wrong to say that it's taboo.
